To commemorate the 2021 world cancer day, Walk with us Cancer Foundation held a secondary school quiz competition among Seven (7) schools in Imo State. This activity was held on the 3rd of February 2021 at Government Secondary School Hall, Owerri. The following schools were in attendance viz;
- Federal Government Girls College Owerri
- Girls Secondary School Ikenegbu Owerri
- Alvana Model Secondary School Owerri
- Government Secondary School Owerri
- Mountain Crest High School Owerri
- Domino Int’l Secondary School Owerri
- Egbu Girls Secondary School Owerri
The quiz competition questions were based on Mathematics, English language, Biology and Health sciences (Cancer-based), the competition started by 10.00 am and ended by 3.00pm with lunch break.
Alvana Model Secondary School Owerri emerged the winner, followed by Federal Government Girls College Owerri and Government Secondary School Owerri who took 2nd position and 3rd position respectively. All the quiz participants and their teachers got free school bags and exercise books while the audience got free books.
